Godzilla vs. Megalon

Plot: WARNING!: I Tell the Endings!

Godzilla vs. Megalon: MST3kAlliesGoro, his little brother Rokuro, and his friend Hiroshi are at the beach. All of a sudden, the Japanese does an underwater nuclear test while Rokuro is out on a tube. Rokuro is unable to come back by himself, but Goro and Hiroshi rescue him. They come back to Goro's house and are approached by burglars. Hiroshi chases them in a car, but loses them. Rokuro finds a strange sand on the ground that the burglars left behind. They do tests on in and find out that it is from 30,000 feet under the sea, and Easter Island only.

Goro constructs a robot he calls Jet-Jaguar. The same burglars from before invade Goro's house again, and bound and gags he and Rokuro. Hiroshi is also captured. He finds out that the men are from the underwater kingdom named Seatopia. The Seatopians are angry at the Japanese for doing the underwater nuclear tests, and are planning on destroying Japan. Hiroshi escapes and rescues Goro and Rokuro.

Goji SmackFlying KickThe leader of Seatopia awakens a god-monster named Megalon. He sends it up towards Japan so he can destroy it. The Seatopians steal Goro's Jet-Jaguar, and use it to lead Megalon. Goro, using a back-up controller, regains Jet-Jaguar under his control again. He tells him to go and get Godzilla to fight Megalon. Jet-Jaguar communicates with Godzilla, and convinces him to fight Megalon. Jet-Jaguar then goes under his own control, and miraculously grows to Megalon's height. The Seatopians call Nebula Spacehunter M to get Gigan to help Megalon. Gigan later appears and both he and Megalon fight Jet-Jaguar. While it seems Jet-Jaguar is totally defeated, Godzilla shows up. The both of them fight Gigan and Megalon. Gigan retreats after being beat up by Jet-Jaguar later on. Megalon then retreats back to Seatopia after Godzilla does a "flying kick" on him. Godzilla and Jet-Jaguar then shake each other's hands before departing. It's been a long day, and Japan has been saved once again.

Been a Long DayGodzilla vs. Gigan IIAlthough there's not much of a story-line to this movie, it contains the funnest fight scenes in the whole Godzilla series! Although this movie is goofy, it's a great kind of goofy! If you don't like the long, semi-complex story-lines, then this movie is for you! Action-packed, goofy, fun fight-scenes! Just what the doctor ordered. This movie, though, is not for everyone. It is considered the second-worst Godzilla movie by many fans (the movie considered the worst one is "Godzilla's Revenge"). This movie was obviously made for children. Jet-Jaguar takes on the face of the popular "Ultraman" series, which was popular during that time-period. At the end of the movie there's the famous/infamous "Jet-Jaguar" song. If you like this movie, you'll end up singing it for the rest of the day, even though you may not understand the words at all! If you don't like this movie, then you'll be banging your head against the dinner table trying to get it out of your head. Be forewarned though. If you are truly afraid of wasting 82 minutes of your life, and/or hate the other Godzilla movies made mainly for kids, don't buy it. If you really want to see the fun, goofy, action-packed fight scenes, then buy it! Some stock footage from "Godzilla vs. Gigan," "Destroy All Monsters," and "Godzilla vs. Mothra" appear in this film.
