| Titanosaurus
was the last "new monster" of the Showa Series (1954-1975).
Titanosaurus was a dinosaur that was discovered by the mad scientist
Dr. Mafune. He was originally a gentle dinosaur, but Mafune implanted
a control device in him so Mafune could carry out his own vengeance
on the people. Mafune was obsessed with revenge on the Earth,
and so made a deal with the Simeons to have Titanosaurus fight
alongside with Mechagodzilla. Titanosaurus was a naturally skilled
fighter and created cyclone-like winds with his tail. As a group
of Interpol agents were being attacked by the dinosaur on their
submarine, they accidentely found Titanosaurus' weakness: supersonic
waves. The Interpol agents then rushed a supersonic wave weapon
into production. The combination of Mechagodzilla's powerful
weapons and Titanosaurus' fine fighting skills almost defeated
Godzilla. The Interpol agents then arrived with the supersonic
wave weapon and weakened Titanosaurus. Godzilla then easily destroyed
Mechagodzilla and killed Titanosaurus with his heat ray. The
rest of the Simeons were killed and the wrath of Mafune's vengeance
came to an end. The world had been saved again. |
