Gigan is a cyborg made by the evil
                  space cockroaches from Nebula Spacehunter M. The space cockroaches
                  noticed that Earth would be a place to have "perfect peace"
                  because of all of the pollution that was there. Gigan was sent
                  to Earth along with King Ghidorah to detroy anything that would
                  cause an ecological disaster, mainly oil refineries. Gigan was
                  able to walk through buildings with the buzz saw that's located
                  in his chest. Although never seen on film, Gigan has a laser
                  beam that shoots just above his eye. This has been illustrated
                  on the promotional movie posters for his two movies Godzilla
                  vs. Gigan, and Godzilla vs. Megalon. Godzilla and
                  Anguirus came to Earth's rescue and defeated Gigan, King Ghidorah,
                  and the evil space cockroaches. Gigan was sent in the next film,
                  Godzilla vs. Megalon, to fight alongside of Megalon. Godzilla
                  and Jet-Jaguar both defeated Gigan and Megalon. For those of
                  you that care, Gigan is my personal favorite monster from the
                  Godzilla series.
