| Manda
premiered in the Toho non-Godzilla film Atrogon (1963).
In the film, Manda was a sea serphent who was the god and protector
of the undersea kingdom of Mu. His first Godzilla movie appearance
was Destroy All Monsters. He, along with Godzilla, Rodan,
and Mothra, attack and destroy most of Tokyo. Manda is marching
with the other monsters for the final battle with the Kilaaks,
but he doesn't participate in the brawl with King Ghidorah. A
clip of Manda is shown in Godzilla's Revenge, while Ichiro,
the little boy who is the main character of the film, observes
Monster Island from the treetops. In Terror of Mechagodzilla,
Manda is shown along with Rodan, King Ghidorah, and Godzilla
as Katsura recalls the destructive power of previous monsters. |
